How many treatments will I need?

The average number of sessions required is 6. In some cases, more may be necessary due to hair density and colour.

 

 

How long before I see results?

You will see some results immediately, it takes a week or two for all of the hair in the treatment area to fall out. After that, you will notice around a 20% reduction in hair growth with each session.

 

 

Does the procedure hurt?

The cooling tip has mild aesthetic properties which allows tender areas to be treated in a relatively painless manor.

 

 

What does the procedure involve?

Preoperative: Please shave the area to be treated with a new razor, this should be between 3days-24hours prior to your appointment. A show of hair is important to avoid trauma to the skin so please don’t shave immediately prior.

Intraoperative: You will be required to wear protective eyewear for the duration of your appointment, this is specific to the wavelengths we will be using to remove your hair. A cooling, conductive gel will then be applied to the area, this aids the lasers efficiency and minimises discomfort.

Postoperative: We recommend that you avoid sunbeds and sun exposure following your appointment. Studies suggest this can lead to skin sensitivity which increases your risk of developing hyperpigmentation. If exposure cant be helped, sunscreen is essential. Please also avoid anything than generates excessive moisture/heat ie. sauna/steamroom.

Having a bath or shower is absolutely fine but please minimise the duration for the first 72hours.
